Here is an original VINTAGE (I believe 1960-1960s. The serial number is hard to read.... 011153? See close up pic) mens SCHWINN CORVETTE beach cruiser bicycle with 26" wheels. It is in the original and very appealing red colored factory paint. This is a real deal Wisconsin Barn Find and cannot wait to be enjoyed! With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!
*This bike has a cool cruiser style frame and forks with original paint and decals, original paint Schwinn CORVETTE chainguard, Dorcy cruiser style seat, narrow cruiser handlebars, Schwinn script hand grips, full fenders, (Stainless steel? Have dents) Schwinn bow pedals and Schwinn sprocket, cool aluminum front rack, (no center hold down) and more! This one has factory brake caliper mounts front and rear if you ever like to convert it to a multi speed and add hand brake calipers!
*The Schwinn Corvette is ICONIC among Schwinn collectors as well as anyone who loves the legendary Chevrolet Corvette cars! *The tires are 26x1 3/4 ". They are vintage slightly newer replacement tires and do hold air. The bike has S chwinn S7 rims front and rear with a Bendix hub.
*The bike is an original SINGLE SPEED with coaster brakes. (pedal slightly backwards to stop the bike)
*DIMENSIONS The standover height is approx 30 1/2". The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 28". The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 18 1/2". The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22". The bike will accommodate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.
*NOTED FLAWS I got this one just like you see it. It is a real deal barn find from deep in Northern Wisconsin! Has a great "rat rod" type patina. Would look nicer with a serious detailing. The paint is original but has chips scratches wear etc. The chrome is shiny but is not perfect show quality. Bike does not have a head badge. I took lots of pics, I have nothing to hide. If you click on any of the pics they get very large to show lots of detail. Please take a look at all pics for exact condition and email with any questions before you bid.
*This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by.
